Translations from Final Record (and related material)

Ok, here is where I will put all the translations from Final Record. I still don't know how much I'm going to translate... The main problem is that I'm currently not in Japan and a friend of mine is buying my copy there, so I don't have direct access to it until I, ehrm, go back to Japan 8D; Which is definitely not sooner than a few months.
I absolutely wanted to read the crosstalk between Yana, Mari Okada and K, so I had a photo taken of only the interview and I will translate that. As for the other interviews and text, I still don't know >_>

I currently translated a small part of the crosstalk that actually doesn't come from Final Record but G-Fantasy November issue XD; It's a part that didn't fit in Final Record, but since it's related I'm putting it here.

I suggest that you read it... and pay particular attention to the last part, lmao X°DD
Always remember: the future of Kuroshitsuji might depend on YOU! (I'm serious)

Yana Toboso (original author) x Mari Okada (series composer) x Takeshi Kuma (editor in charge)
Special Talk

The book "TV Animation 'Kuroshitsuji II' Final Record" is currently on sale! A must read for every fan, it contains all the charm coming from "Kuroshitsuji II". This time we present to you a part of the Special Talk featured in "Final Record". It's an extra part unpublished in the book!!

Profiles

Yana Toboso
Original author of "Kuroshitsuji". She drew the original plans for the characters' clothes appearing in the anime, among other things. She is currently drawing the cover illustration for the 4th DVD.

Mari Okada
Scriptwriter. Series composer for "Kuroshitsuji" season 1 & 2, she also wrote the script for the "Musical Kuroshitsuji - A Thousand Souls and a Fallen Shinigami" and even wrote the lyrics for Sebastian's character songs.

Takeshi Kuma
Part of the editorial staff of "G-Fantasy". He contributed an original short novel for the "Kuroshitsuji II" pre-book "Black Tabloid".

Editorial staff: The anime "Kuroshitsuji II" finally reached its last episode, but actually it gave people a lot to talk about even before its airing.
Toboso: I was worried that everyone might find out about Sebastian and the others' appearance midway...... but luckily it was all right!
Okada: Yeah, somehow it went right!
Toboso: I think the major problem for Okada-san and the rest of the staff and cast was the interviews. We were all saying "If you want to know the truth, please watch the first episode!", like a prayer (LOL).
Okada: There were so many things we couldn't say, yet the magazines kept on interviewing us (*tears*).
Toboso: No no, I was deeply impressed, you were all so good at avoiding the main core.
Okada: Even at work, my colleagues would often ask me "I liked Sebastian and Ciel, won't they be in season 2?".
Toboso: I was asked the same thing by friends and fans. But I didn't even tell my assistants......
Kuma: Many people asked me too, but somehow I managed to hide it!
Toboso: Having a sequel with totally different characters after season 1 ended that way is probably something no one has ever experienced so far.
Editorial staff: Even after its ending "Kuroshitsuji II" is continuing thanks to the character songs, the OVAs included in the DVDs and more......
Kuma: Sebastian's character song, sung by Daisuke Ono-san, was wonderful.
Toboso: "You will rule the world" is a cool song, yet "Aru Shitsuji no Nichijou" [note: "The everyday life of a certain butler"] is unexpectedly rap. And this is great. Actually, the demo tape originally contained two versions: one sung in a more normal way and the rap version that is now on sale. We asked Ono-san to choose the one he preferred, and he very kindly decided to try the hardest one.
Kuma: Okada-san's lyrics are excellent too. I would have never expected to hear Sebastian pronounce the word "pyororira" (LOL). [note: He says that when to describe Ciel's hair being unruly, lol]
Toboso: With Okada-san's lyrics and Ono-san's singing, you can never be off guard (LOL).
Okada: When I have Toboso-sensei and Kuma-san as partners I always have to be careful. When I was thinking about the OVA composition I was told "They're not going to be ordinary stories, right?" and I understood that I'd have to do my best...... (LOL) For Alice I got the idea from sensei. Movic had also put on sale "Ciel in Wonderland" goods based on Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland". We decided to make that world into an anime.
Toboso: Some time ago, when I uploaded a picture of Ciel dressed as Alice on my site, the server crashed. [note: Meaning that it crashed due to overload, lmao] I realized that everybody must really like "Alice" a lot. It's such a luxury that I will be able to watch an anime version of it (LOL). Thank you very much!
Kuma: The production staff of "Kuroshitsuji" are nice adults that will make your dreams come true.
Editorial staff: The OVAs are a different kind of "Kuroshitsuji", unrelated to the main plot, but if you had to create a sequel of the main story, how do you think it would turn out?
Toboso: It's kind of an old movie, but I think it would become somewhat like "Interview With The Vampire". Like the girl who is turned into a vampire in the movie, season 2 Ciel can't become an adult on the outside but only on the inside, so he would be walking the bad boys' road (LOL).
Okada: Indeed, I can only picture a sequel that would disappoint our viewers. But actually, lately I've been having this feeling that it is possible to write a proper sequel for "Kuroshitsuji II".
Toboso/Kuma: Even though the last episode ended like that!? ......But I think I'd like to see it (LOL).
Editorial staff: Now we only need encouragement from the fans, and maybe the day we will be able to see a sequel is not that far.

To read more of this enjoyable talk, please take a look at the "TV Animation 'Kuroshitsuji II' Final Record", currently on sale!!

---------------------------------------------------------------

LOL at Yana naming Interview With The Vampire and Claudia, which is basically what many of us thought about too (at least according to the ep12 discussion thread) X°D
And I just KNEW that Mari Okada would want to write a sequel lol. How could she let such a possibly interesting thing escape her hahaha. Remember that she likes "Story of an Egg"... >_> (if you don't get this you didn't read enough of my translations 8D)

And..... I think it was pretty blatant, I mean, they couldn't make it clearer than that, but...
The staff IS WILLING to make a sequel to Kuroshitsuji II. However, they can't do it without money and a guarantee that it will be successful. So... here comes our role! As fans, the main ways to promote and support a sequel are: 1) expressing our appreciation for the work that just ended and related products; 2) spending our money on Kuroshitsuji stuff.
As you might guess, #2 is actually the most important point, lol. Soooo... if you want to see a sequel, please make an effort to support the series. I know that we're not all swimming in a pool of money, but even if you can't afford the DVDs, I believe that buying something like Final Record or the chara singles won't make you go bankrupt.

Remember that it's nice to have stuff for free (fansubs, scans), but they won't keep on producing more if they don't earn anything out of that, so even the free stuff is bound to stop one day. Someone might accuse Yana to be a little too apocalyptic when she wrote that authors will starve to death if people don't pay for the stuff, but it is indeed true that they won't produce more if they don't have the guarantee that it will give them something back (namely, money).

Sorry to turn this translation post into advertising, but I love this work, and so I say: PLEASE SUPPORT THE SERIES HOWEVER YOU CAN. Even the smallest of efforts, the smallest of purchases is still helpful.

(If you're wondering about me, I've been and I'm still saving on food to buy anything that's out, DVDs, chara songs, magazines and more >_>; )

This said, I hope you enjoyed the translation 8D
I don't know when I will be able to work on the actual crosstalk, because it's lonnng and I have other stuff waiting (like Yana's blogs), please be patient >_>
